At first I accidentally typed lesions instead of lessons. I think some good advice for myself, and also for those around me, is that holding people to expectations they aren’t aware of—or if they are just plain unreasonable expectations—will create a situation perfect for a self-loathing woe is me approach to just about any situation. Stop it. Seriously. No one is out to get you....
